For the first time, the WFD organised a Pre-Conference entirely dedicated to gender equality, under the theme: “Strengthening Gender Diversity in Deaf Organisations.”
Over two intensive days, representatives from 30 countries came together to discuss the rights of deaf women and explore strategies to accelerate gender equality within deaf organisations.
The event featured two keynote speakers from Zambia and India, as well as presentations, workshops, and interactive activities that strengthened capacities and contributed to the development of national deaf associations in each participating country.
We reaffirm our commitment to gender equality and the empowerment of deaf women around the world.
