Ordinary, Associate and International Memberships have to be approved by the WFD Board.

HONOUR	The relentless dedication of Dr Kauppinen to advance human rights of the deaf people.
AIM	Deaf persons know their rights and are able to act and exert influence to overcome exclusion
GOAL	Empower the global Deaf Community through Human Rights Projects the WFD undertakes. Equip as many Deaf Communities around the world are with knowledge of relevant human rights issues
