In 2025, together with our members and partners, the WFD:
- Reached 96 countries through capacity-building, training, and advocacy
- Ensured deaf perspectives were present at the United Nations and global forums
- Strengthened deaf-led disaster preparedness and humanitarian responses
- Supported progress toward 82 legally recognised national sign languages worldwide
As we look ahead to 2026, a landmark year marking WFD’s 75th anniversary, our mission remains clear: to advance deaf people’s human rights, strengthen deaf-led organisations, and work toward a world where deaf people everywhere can sign anywhere.
