International Members:
Organisations, having legal capacity and applying for International Membership, must give evidence in their membership application of their exclusively international objectives and information about their activities directed to promote the goals and objectives of World Federation of the Deaf. These organisations shall be referred to as International Members.
International membership application can be obtained from the WFD General Secretariat.

Honorary Members
Honorary membership may be conferred upon persons who have served with distinction and dedication to international issues on the Board of World Federation of the Deaf, its committees, experts or having contributed to the benefit of WFD.
Honorary Members are approved only at the WFD General Assembly.
WFD also has three Honorary Presidents, Dr. Yerker Andersson, Dr. Liisa Kauppinen and Mr. Markku Jokinen, who are all former WFD Presidents. They were granted the title in the XVIII General Assembly in 2011. However, the amendments made by the General Assembly to the WFD Statutes deleted the membership category of Honorary Presidents and therefore the current statutes only mention Honorary Members. Thus the troika of past presidents will most likely remain the only Honorary Presidents of the WFD in the future.
Individual Youth Membership: please click on World Federation of the Deaf Youth Section for more information: www.wfdys.org
Individual Youth Membership application form is available from the WFD General Secretariat.

Youth Ordinary Membership
Any national youth organisation of deaf persons within the age range from 18 to 30 with legal status may join the WFD as a Youth Ordinary Member provided approved by its OM and whose goals are similar to WFD aims. Youth Ordinary Members have no voting rights in the meetings of World Federation of the Deaf. The Youth Ordinary members are responsible for payment of an annual membership fee as determined by the Board.
Youth Ordinary Membership application can be obtained from the WFD Youth Section.
