Upon submission, the report is scheduled for consideration by the CRPD Committee. The report is submitted for translation into the official languages of the United Nations. Generally it takes a minimum of one year between the time that the report is submitted and its consideration by the Committee.
List of issues: The CRPD Committee conducts a preliminary review of the State Party report and prepares a list of issues. The State Party is requested to respond to the list of issues within a set time limit. The report and the responses to the list of issues are then considered at the next plenary session. The State Party is invited to participate in the plenary session in order to respond to questions posed by Committee members.
Concluding observations: At the end of the dialogue, the Committee issues concluding observations which point out the positive aspects and difficulties impeding the implementation of the CRPD and recommendations for future action.
