Individuals desiring to support World Federation of the Deaf and its activities may join as Individual Members or Individual Youth Members (for individuals in the age range of 18 to 30) upon payment of a fee. Such members are entitled to information from World Federation of the Deaf and other membership privileges as determined by the Board, but shall have no voting privileges.
The Board approves Individual Membership and Individual Youth Membership.
The individual members and individual youth members, upon payment of their annual membership fees, are entitled to observer status at meetings of World Federation of the Deaf and to receive WFD Newsletter six (6) times a year, and plus other information.
The individual members and individual youth members do not have voting rights at the meetings of World Federation of the Deaf.

An Individual Member of the WFD contributes to organisation's daily work which deals with supporting and strengthening deaf associations, organizing human rights trainings, advancing deaf people's rights in the United Nations human rights system, spreading information on the Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities(CRPD), producing material in sign language and much more.
