There are eight (8) WFD Regional Secretariats over the world. The oldest WFD Regional Secretariat is the Asia and the Pacific. In reponse to the request by at least five (5) Ordinary Members in good standing in geograhical region, the Board may establish a Regional Secretariat. The WFD Ordinary Members provide financial and moral support to the activities of the regional secretariat. The aims and activities of each Regional Secretariat must be compatible with WFD Statutes Article 29 (Please see WFD statutes in the website).All Regional Secretariats cooperate with the WFD General Secretariat and to report to the General Secretariat of their activities.

An Individual Member of the WFD contributes to organisation's daily work which deals with supporting and strengthening deaf associations, organizing human rights trainings, advancing deaf people's rights in the United Nations human rights system, spreading information on the Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities(CRPD), producing material in sign language and much more.
